Airtel Happy Hour 2022
Airtel Happy Hour: Airtel on Thursday announced the Happy Hours for customers who have Prepaid accounts. They will offer customers 50 percent data credit on any content downloaded within the app from 3 am and 5 am. To make this deal work, Airtel has advised developers to add the possibility of scheduling download times in their apps.
Happy Hours are available by all Airtel customers who have paid accounts as a default option and do not need the user to sign up. Customers will benefit from downloading content that’s not important in the app such as videos, photos, and music albums as they’ll get half the downloaded data within the specified timeframes. For instance, If you’re planning to make to download a music album that has an amount of 200MB you’ll be rewarded with 100MB of data.
Airtel offers developers a free API that allows them to use the download schedule mechanism that could aid in resolving Internet neutrality issues. “Any app developer is able to join Airtel Happy Hours using just four easy steps. They can also offer their customers an option to schedule the download between 3.00 am to 5.00 am to make sure that they receive 50 % of their data after download,” the company said in an email sent to customers.
In the present, YouTube and FastFilmz have already integrated this feature and other apps are scheduled to follow, Airtel stated. To take advantage of this feature, the sole thing that Airtel paying customers with prepay plans need to do in the YouTube application is to choose the smart offline option for the video they wish to download. Then, select the Save overnight feature ‘with Airtel Happy Hours’ option for the purpose of saving the video between 3.00 is to 5.00 am. They will then receive 50 percent of the information returned.
The company added that it hopes this feature will improve the overall experience at periods of high demand during the day “Happy Hours” can help in shifting non-essential data traffic away from peak hours and decrease the volume of traffic.
