Pluckers Happy Hour: It began with the munchies… We were hungry for chicken wings after a long, hard night on 6th Street in Austin. Although there were plenty of wing joints in the South we were surprised to not find any in Austin. We decided to make the idea our own if we didn’t have the courage to find someone else to do it.
The art of taste testing. We had a great idea. At the Silver Spurs Chili Cookoff, our booth was the only one that did not serve chili. However, we also had the longest line. We sold out of the 1,000 pounds of wings we cooked at our fraternity house that day after hundreds of University of Texas students gave their feedback. This was the moment we knew that our dream could become a reality.
